The Ringmer Vicarage PC holds all the Pratt family’s leisure and home details on it, and it’s the official church computer too. So when Revd Canon Will Pratt’s computer started misbehaving in 2006 he was very concerned.

“I use computers a lot, and I can usually work out what’s gone wrong. But there are times when I just can’t fix it – that’s when I call in Michael,” says Will. “Michael has saved the day for me three times. He’s come in, taken charge, clearly diagnosed what’s wrong, and fixed the problem. And I’ve been absolutely delighted with how he’s done it.

The first time, Michael cleaned the PC of a virus and cleaned up the hard drive to make it run much faster. The Vicar was so impressed he’s recommended our services to various parishioners. “They’ve told me they’ve been delighted with his services too,” says Will.

The third time Will called in PC Care Sussex he thought he’d lost vital data including parish burial records, email addresses of church contacts, and artwork for the parish magazine.

“Every time the machine turned on, it turned itself off again. I was in danger of losing some very important data, which I hadn’t backed up properly,” says Will. Michael discovered a corruption in the start up and fixed it. “He saved me a great deal of time typing in lots of data again,” says Will. “Now I’ve got an automated back-up system so I should be safe in future.”
