We’ve been giving Margaret technical support since 2005, when we got her home PC running again after it crashed. Margaret is an enthusiastic user of computers. We’ve helped her with everything from building her home PC, to linking her camera to her TV, to helping her manage three websites.

Margaret says, “Since I first started using Michael, he’s helped me with lots of problems over the years. I tend to collect them up so when he comes there are half a dozen bits and bobs he works through.”

Here’s a typical job list from Margaret: help using the CD burner, advice on protecting the computer against viruses, and help using web bookmarks and filing emails efficiently.

We helped Margaret when a glitch stopped her from publishing new content to Uckfield’s Decorative and Fine Arts Society – see www.uckfielddfas.org.uk. We also showed her how to search engine optimise her son’s carpentry website and get it on to Googlemaps.

“If you ask Michael something he’s very good – even if he doesn’t know the answer right away, he will find his way around. I’ve tried a couple of other PC engineers in the past and they were very poor and very expensive,” says Margaret.

“With Michael he says it’s going to be so much per hour and you know where you are. Michael just carries on till he completes the job. He’s very pleasant and I trust him. He comes when he says he will – and that’s usually within a few days.”
